FAQ

Your questions are valid — here’s what you can expect before getting started.

  • I am a private-pay provider and do not accept insurance. However, I can provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

If you’re considering this option, I encourage you to contact your insurance provider in advance and ask:

    • What is my out-of-network coverage for mental health services?

    • What percentage of each session fee is reimbursed?

    • Is there a deductible I need to meet first?

  • My session fees reflect the use of structured, evidence-based treatments like DBT and CBT:

    • Initial intake (60 minutes): $390

    • Individual therapy (45 minutes): $295

    • Parent skills coaching (30–45 minutes): $195–$295

All fees are discussed transparently before scheduling your first appointment.

  • Yes! I provide in-person therapy in Los Angeles (at my Encino office) and online therapy throughout California and Indiana.

Virtual sessions follow the same structure and confidentiality standards as in-person care, and can be a flexible option for clients with busy schedules or distance constraints.

  • I specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), DBT for parents, and SPACE parent coaching.

Each approach is evidence-based and tailored to your goals — whether that’s managing anxiety, improving relationships, or finding emotional balance.

  • The first step is scheduling a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll briefly discuss what’s been going on, answer your initial questions, and see whether we’re a good therapeutic fit.

If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule a 60-minute intake session to understand your goals and start developing a treatment plan.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide as much notice as possible. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are billed at the full session rate.

Consistency matters in therapy, but I understand that life happens. I appreciate the courtesy of advance notice whenever possible.

  • Yes. Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of therapy.

I provide this estimate upon request or before your first appointment. You can learn more at www.cms.gov/nosurprises or by calling 800-985-3059.
